Placer Community Theater is a nonprofit adult theater group established in 2004. Our goal is to provide quality entertainment to the people of Placer County and surrounding areas. Placer Community Theater currently provides (2) performances per season and is committed to encouraging community involvement in the arts. What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:I have been involved in community theater for over 40 years and 100+ plays--from the West Bay to the foothills. My favorite roles include: Sir Thomas More in "A Man For All Seasons" with the Lafayette Dramateurs; Joseph in "My Three Angels" with Volcano Theatre; Horace Vandergelder in "Hello Dolly" with Magic Circle Theatre in Roseville.

I am a retired failures analyst. My wife owns an irrigation design firm called Brookwater.
Family information you would like to share publicly:One daughter and one granddaughter.
Describe your previous theater accomplishments:Varied and lengthy. Director, producer, actor, singer, dancer. Performed in over fifty productions in the bay area, including Equity and amateur.
Hobbies in addition to theatrical endeavors:Avid fly fisherman, travel, working on our 45 acre horse ranch.
What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:Directing, but I love to sing.

Describe your previous theater accomplishments:Co-Founder and President of Bonita Valley Players, Bonita, CA
Acted in various plays starting in 3rd grade. Some of the other plays I participated in are: The Odd Couple, Farewell Farewell Eugene, Opal is A Diamond, Actor's Nightmare, The Little Foxes, Another Part of the Forest, 1776, Don't Drink The Water, If Men Played Cards Like Women, Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know and many more. Acted and Directed in many variety shows.

Interesting places where you have lived:I lived and worked as a medical social worker in England for 2 1/2 years. Have also lived in Connecticut and Indiana, but that is not that interesting.

vocation:
I am a retired social worker after 30 plus years of social work, looking forward to my first social security check right after the play ends.
Family information you would like to share publicly:Proud parent of a Doxiepoo, Oliver and a Lynxpoint Siamese named Charlie. In a long term relationship-20 years with Dan.
Describe your previous theater accomplishments:Began working in all aspects of theatre from 9 years old to teen years in Downey Children's Theatre. While on the Central Coast worked with Santa Maria Civic and San Luis Obispo Little Theatres where I acted in several productions, and participated in stage management, set construction and set decor. My greatest theatrical accomplishment was learning how to paint fake wood grain on a floor.
Hobbies in addition to theatrical endeavors:I collect a lot of stuff-like old books, pottery and antiques. I reunite old family photos and albums with families by using the internet to find descendents. I enjoy doing tile projects, and make tile tables.
What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:In addition to acting, I really enjoy doing set decoration. It fulfills the hidden interior designer in me. I am very pleased to have found Placer Community Theatre and this is my first theatrical endeavor since I moved from the Central Coast. There is great talent here and I predict this play will be produced nationally and Brian Jagger will become rich and famous. (I'm not kidding)

Describe your previous theater accomplishments:Placer High School Musicals 1994 - 1996; Music & More Musicals 1993 - 1995; Choreographer Director for City of Rocklin Summer Camp summers 2002 - present; sevreal choral groups at Placer, Sierra, and Long Beach State.
Hobbies in addition to theatrical endeavors:My latest - knitting! Also, camping, bike riding, and board games (love 'em!)
What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:Although I LOVE to be onstage, I really feel that directing/choreographing a show is the MOST rewarding (at least when working with kids).

I'm an R&D Program Manager working in Hewlett Packard's Enterprise Storage Division at Roseville, and I serve as an ordained member of the clergy staff at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Auburn.
Family information you would like to share publicly:Linda and I have two daughters Brenda and Tarajoy, both of whom are presently living in California.
Describe your previous theater accomplishments:I've played roles in Annie Get Your Gun, Anything Goes, Damn Yankees, and How To Succeed in Business with the Placer Adult School Theater Group at the Placer High School Auditorium. I've worked back-stage managing the sound of Oh Fudge, Let's Murder Marsha, and various musical reviews performed by the Placer Community Theater (PCT) group at Pamelot's "Best Little Theater" in Auburn.

Family information you would like to share publicly:I have been married for 35 years and have two daughters and a wonderful son-in-law.
Describe your previous theater accomplishments:I've been involved with Placer Adult School and Placer Community Theater for many years acting in supporting roles.
Hobbies in addition to theatrical endeavors:I am an avid golfer, and I like to gold pan, hike, and sew.
What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:It's so nice once in a while to become someone else and leave the real world behind.

vocation:
I was an attorney for several years practicing real estate and bankruptcy law. Now I sell real estate for Coldwell Banker and love being able to help people find the home of their dreams, or sell their home when life has brought them a change.
Family information you would like to share publicly:We were raised in the Bay Area, but all of my siblings (2 brothers and a sister) migrated this way so we are all close by.
Describe your previous theater accomplishments:I have performed in Annie Get Your Gun, Anything Goes, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and 12 Angry Men with the Placer Adult School; The Temp, Oh Fudge, Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know, and Exit the Body with Placer Community Theater.
Hobbies in addition to theatrical endeavors:Outside of theater, I like hiking, skiing, gardening, cooking, sewing and entertaining.
What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:I'm terrified of public speaking, but as a character, I love getting on stage and making people laugh.

How long have you lived in the Auburn area:Close to fifteen years. My wife Linda and our son Matthew moved here in 1993 from Santa Clara.
Interesting places where you have lived:Two extremes; Florida and Alaska. I loved Florida for its wide beaches and warm oceans and Alaska for it wildness and it grandeur. But the best is California.

vocation:
I am the Western Regional Sales Manager for Smart Sourcing, Inc.
Family information you would like to share publicly:Linda and I have been married for twenty-two years and have one son, I have three additional sons from a previous marriage.
Describe your previous theater accomplishments:Phil has performed in the PCT productions of "Riverwind," "Mid-Life! The Crisis Musical" and is gearing up for a turn in the upcoming producution of "Toxic." While in high school I was a Tent Technician for professional summer stock theater in New Jersey. I got to meet some famous personalities and very talented chorus lines. I loved the experience. Beginning about 8 years ago I started to perform in my church's choir. I also have been a soloist for various churches in the Auburn and Grass Valley area.
Hobbies in addition to theatrical endeavors:Gardening, photography, model airplane modeling.
What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:The performance. It is a visceral and spiritual experience. Probably akin to walking a tight rope, it captures your attention.

Family information you would like to share publicly:Married for almost 10 years to Jessica. We have two children, Kayla and Lindsey.
Describe your previous theater accomplishments:Performed in plays at Auburn’s Music & More as well as through Placer Adult School.

What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:The ability to allow people to take a mental break from life and enjoy an acted out story. I am also particularly fond of making people laugh.

vocation:
I have been teaching high school for 11 years; working with teens can be a challenge, but it is rewarding to see them grow at a pivotal time in their lives. Bob works in health information management and enjoys helping people.

Describe your previous theater accomplishments:We have worked on over 20 school and community theater productions, on stage or behind the scenes, as stage manager, crew, sound tech., choreographer, and director.
Hobbies in addition to theatrical endeavors:Dance, fencing, landscaping and home projects, in addition to the sports our sons are involved with in school and rec. leagues yearround... we stay busy!

Family information you would like to share publicly:I am the wife of a truly wonderful man, mother of 5 wonderful, smart, talented, and kind teenagers (no it is not a contradiction of terms).
Describe your previous theater accomplishments:I have had supporting and lead roles in well known and original productions including “The Man Who Came to Dinner,” “One Flew Over the Coo Coo’s Nest,” and “The Miracle Worker.” New to PCT I featured my acting, vocal and musical talent in “A USO Style Variety Show” and played Jane De Santis in “The Temp.” I am directing the current production, “Sing On.”
Hobbies in addition to theatrical endeavors:Participating in our children’s activities, football, basketball, track, Nordic skiing, etc. I love music, and I play the flute, piccolo, clarinet, a little piano and have been trying to find the time to teach myself the violin and my husband to read music so he can learn the mandolin.
What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:I love the challenge that comes with acting, in making other people believe I’m a character other than myself. I love music and entertainment, therefore I enjoy providing that to others.

Describe your previous theater accomplishments:I have been a member of Placer Community Theater for 4 years now. I have performed in several variety shows, "If Men Played Cards As Women Do," "Sing On!" "Rumors," "California Suite," and even learned to tap dance for "Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know."
Hobbies in addition to theatrical endeavors:Playing guitar and am learning the Mandolin (which is REALLY hard!)
What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:Making people laugh and gathering up the guts to perform in front of total strangers.

Describe your previous theater accomplishments:I got the drama bug in high school performing in several productions including “Diary of Anne Frank.” In the early 80’s I joined Placer Classic Theater Company, which became Auburn Theater Company, and performed in “The Mad Woman of Chaillot,” and “You Can’t Take It with You.” I went on to produce “Teahouse of the August Moon,” then directed “The Dining Room,” and “Love Letters.”

I am a customer service representative for Placer County Water Agency for 14 years.
Family information you would like to share publicly:I come from a musical family. My parents were in a quartette in their youth that performed all over so calif and on television. My grandfather was a musician and played every instrument from vibes to organ. My daughter sings, dances and plays a little piano and my son plays guitar and drums. I sang all through high school and sang with the disneyland madrigals and was a member of the living christmas tree both at disneyland for 10 years.
Describe your previous theater accomplishments:Damn Yankees in High School, Damn Yankees and Once Upon A Matress at Disneyland. Later moved to Auburn and did Fiddler On The Roof with Music N More twice. Permormed with Placer Adult School in: Annie Get Your Gun, Anything Goes, How To Succeed And Once Again Damn Yankees. Then with PCT I was in the musical revue. I also serve as secretary and one of the dessert coordinators. Mostly chorus parts and a few dance parts.

What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:The wonderful relationship we have with each other is very rewarding. I love performing as long as I am in the chorus or in the background dancing.

How long have you lived in the Auburn area:I don't live in the Auburn area, but I have lived in the Roseville area for about 11 years.
Interesting places where you have lived:I guess one of the most interesting places I have lived is in a twenty-five foot motorhome (Commander) when I was on the road with a music group called the Crystal Mountaineers. This was in 1974 and the motorhome was my and my daughter's living quarters for about a year and a half.
Information you would like to share regarding your
vocation:
I have been involved in music much of my life. Was a music major in Delta Jr. College in Stockton and University of Pacific. I also taught piano many moons ago. My family is very musical and it has carried onto my kids as well. George Delzer, my son is very talented on the trumpet in jazz renditions and is also a pretty good actor as well as his wife, Shannon who is multi-talented in dance and music.
Family information you would like to share publicly:I have a daughter and husband who live in Virginia and they have gifted us with four beautiful grandchildren. I visit them as often as possible and am seeing some talented singers in that group. My husband David is the town clown or so they say. He keeps disabled people in stiches while driving them to their destinations with Laidlaw. Of course he has a captive audience.
Describe your previous theater accomplishments:I have ventured into and done musicals in high school and college, a while back. I'm just getting back into the saddle again since I'm thinking of retiring soon and want to delve into some fun theatrical venues.
Hobbies in addition to theatrical endeavors:Spending time with the family and friends I love, bicycling (just finished the Eppies great race 12.5 miles). I love to go out dancing and seeing good romantic comedies.
What aspect of theater is most rewarding for you:The theater has been fun, although I've only been a part of it for a short while. I like the smalltown comeradarie of the Placer Community Theatre and being with so many talented and great people has been a boost to my inner spirit. I enjoy coming out of my shell so to speak and showing you a little bit of my nutty side.
